How can I counter the isolation scripture?

well, i talked to some elders and basically said the organization was calling the prophets and god liars, because they were disgarding the importance and relavance of some of the prophecies.

i told them that there is no true organization on the planet right now.

i used luke 21: 8, i used many scriptures and actually i qouted chapters, not just verses where it was obvious they were wrong, i counter verses, they didn't get them.

Thank you all so much, I am very greatful, I really think I made God proud that night, I used many scriptures but they didn't respond, they didn't care if I countered them.

My dad was in as a bystandard but he didn't really get what was going on. He just got brainwashed further even though he hasn't been to meetings in years, he said that the brothers have love for what they were doing with me. I didn't feel that, I was telling them that they were wrong, using scripture and history to prove it, and they were defending the doctrine EVEN if it meant calling God and the prophets liars, I told them that and they didn't defend it, I don't see how they can live with that.

The told me that God always had an organization, I said yes, and I said Isreal, but right now Isreal is being punished until Jesus returns, thus no one is teaching the full truth. I then told them that Gentiles were NEVER given authority to teach the ways of Jesus. They didn't say anything.

I told them there was nowhere to go, they said yes, but they didn't understand that I meant INCLUDING the organization. And when I got that point across they said, even if they are wrong, at least the people are good... really? Is that enough for God? I thought he wanted us to worship in spirit and in TRUTH!

I told them that there is no true organization on the planet right now. Basically, they just said look at the people of the org, who else is like them, and said it was producing good fruit. I told them that the fruit means the teachings not the actual people, but they kept saying look at the people. Eventually, use of the scriptures stopped on their end. I'm going to pray and Sunday decide if I want to be a JW anymore, although, after this, I know where I stand.

I was called a tool of Satan if I left and that the books taken out of the Bible (by the Gentiles) were taken out because they were apostic, even though the people of the Bible quoted them. How in the WORLD could they be unacceptable if the people in the past qouted from them? They didn't asnwer that, I said that the Bible prooves that there will be Gentiles who did not serve the true God who survive the end, they didn't respond to that. They basically advized me to stay in the org. even though there are things wrong with the teachings that they can't answer. The only thing they said that I couldn't really counter was the isolation thing. If there is no one teaching truth though, you have to work with the Bible, it's all you have. There were plenty of times where people served the true God by themselves. I actually had a good argument, but I was getting emotionally stressed out, so it looked like I was doing a bad job.

but i told my friend and it seems like it's just not getting through.

like he will say he'll look into it, but he really won't or i'll give him a 12 page paper that is 3/4th scripture countering nay destroying a jw doctrine out of the reasoning book and he won't do anything... just blank out.

But I'm afraid's gonna get my friend and family killed eventually, there gonna teach something completely stupid and its going to get them killed.

For example, let's JUST SAY that the Babylon the Great thing happens as they say, but Oh Oh! The Witnesses were wrong, they really aren't the truth and when they run to hide there is no point, they all get killed too. Lunk 21: 8 and 2 Theselonians 1-4, make it clear that we need to avoid Witnesses because of what they claim.

My grandma told me how she got into the 'truth', her mom was into Gypsie fortune telling, one day she got a fortune telling her that two people would come to her door with 'good news' and to listen to it. Ever since she told me that, I was worried. It seems the demons were not lieing, God's kingdom is good news, and it is good to listen, but the demons never said anything else, they didn't say to join the people, but I guess that's what they wanted.

I seriously want to ask him if he's being an idiot on purpose. I know I sound mean, but this is serious. Why the hell would you want your freind or family to stay in a lie? You get them the hell out. But it seems they'd rather call God a lier than leave this organization governed by freaking morons. Are people honestly this stupid?It's like their minds just malfunction, they can't compute that they have been raised in a lie. You get a hold of yourself, you say "there are too many crazy @#$%s who lie", and you start working hard to find truths. But he's not getting it.

I mean he isn't baptized but I was, but I was more of doing it because that was really all I could do at that point, I knew all the doctrine, I was tired of them hinting at me getting baptized, I wanted to make my dieng grandma happy, so I did it. I never did actually take the doctrine and run with it, I just held onto it with a grain of salt and slowly got pissed that they kept repeating the same crap over and over again, and people kept failing to listen, people aren't perfect, but come on. How can I improve my character around kids who are so fake?

I would say that the ONLY thing stupid I ever believed was the "light gets brighter" crap. I thought it was in the scriptures, otherwise I thought that they would be complete idiots to use it, and I figured people who follow the religion already asked about it and was told it was in the scriptures. I assumed it was one of those "been there done that" issues. It seems people are even DUMBER than I ever imagined. There are sheep and then there are puppets, and this org is having a damn good show.

Did leaving the WT build greater appreciation for or kill your reading of the Bible?

i am really on the fence on this issue right now and would love some opinions.. i find that i dont sit down and read the bible for long periods since becoming inactive, but on the other hand, individual scriptures mean much more to me now.. i will sit down and look up some favorite passages from time to time and feel like its the first time i really "got it" - without the jw goggles on.

i love matthew chapter 23, since i think it describes to a tee the situation in jw congregations.

i think if jesus returned today, he would blast the elders and "leaders" of the borg in a similar fashion (along with most religious leaders) .matthew 24 is actually more interesting to me now, simply because my whole life was waiting for the 1914 generation to end sometime during the reagan era!

There are a couple of Books missing in the commonly publushed Bibles, but the fact that the Bible prophecies about the decendents of who the Bible was mainly intended for, it explains why so many don't get it, especially after they leave from an org that messes it up even more.The informaiton about the garden of eden is sometimes misunderstood, there was certain information that humans apparently were never suppose to know, and that was the so called forbidden fruit. The book of enoch that was taken out of the Bible explained this even further, as the so called-"fallen angles" taught humans astrology, how to make concotions, the concept of valuing minerals, how to create weapons and how to preform death strikes effectively.

The book was MAINLY intended for one race, the Isrealites, but once they were seperated in 70 A.D. and Gentiles got a hold of the book and that's when things started going to hell with Chirstainity, it wasn't meant for them mainly, they were in it and it explained their role in history, but the book itself was not about them at all, which is why no officailly established religion on the planet is right, they teach from a perspective that caters to the Gentiles, when the book is supposed to be a way for the Isrealites to spread the information to the Gentiles, but since we are broken up and in the crappiest position on the planet, we can't fufill the role we were suppose to have because this isn't about just some debate between satan and god, as their are many satans, this is about god being the fufiller of promises and saving his chosen people from the punishment he gave them, and if that's not true, then technically as far a justice goes almost an entire race should be put to death for the actions of their ancestors through out history.

ok the people at the top of the wts are crooks in it for the money right?

they use an organization that preaches about a god that has justice for those who are weak at heart.

I am not in a position to judge these guys at the top, but I would assume what they are doing to millions of innocent people is wrong. Do they have any concept of a God, or even the one they have their puppet organization represent? If so, wouldn't they know what they are doing is wrong and deserving of divine judgement/punishment, which means they are technically commiting suicide in a way. Are they crazy, do they have a mental problem? (interestingly making poor moral dicsions and having a lack of a conscience are considered mental problems by some phychologists)

i remember i was not always very good at social settings, i was good at analyzing them but bad at participating them, i am always in my head so its hard for me to get influenced by people if i don't get a good feel for them, so it's hard to brainwash me i guess.

when i was in this organization, i knew the tactis they were using in the paragraphs and the way they were writing were ways to trap people mentally, but i just shrugged it if off, i just made excuses, and literally thought, i'll deal with this pothole latter, i got brought in through my grandma, so i never was literally convinced that it was right.

i always remembered when the question "will witnesses be the only ones saved" came up, they gave shady answers, which meant yes, but they didn't want to say it, and knew it didn't make sense and wasn't scriptual.

mindmelda, I understand that, but if you preach that money is not important why the HELL would you secretly use the organization you preach with to absorb it? This is literally insane to me.

I would always sit in on studies with others and they would feed them things that I knew were not scriptual but I just sat there, I didn't want to disrupt the study. Eventually after hearing the same repeats over and over only being in for about 4 years (Teacher have said that there impression of me is that I love to learn, the org was not teaching, it was brainwashing, and I knew it) so (among other issues I had) , I decided that I had enough and decided to call it quits. One in particular is when I was talking to a brother about a problem that a family that left the congregation and moved to another, the problem delt ith the attitude of the people in the old one, and I was thrown in the middle, I told the brother that I was not wanting to cause distress or issues and that I wanted everything to settle without much trouble, I didn't want this to keep continuing. The brother told me that I was a good person, I thought to myself "aren't we all supposed to be good?" After hearing that, I started considereing that there was some kind of hidden agenda in the org that a few knew of, I started keeping track on publications and what not, I had the feeling that eventually I would have to get the hell out of it.

What I honestly want to know is what does the WTS GAIN from controling people? They are hated by outside people, they are hated by people who leave, they try to justify brainwashing through scripture "mental regulating". Why would they want money if they preach that money is not important? Is it so the ones inside will give their money to them? Not only would that be a pretty sort sighted and lame goal for a supper worldwide cult, but it would be a HUGE case of hypocracy.
